Erm...you haven't included anything by REM or Nick Cave, and that's just for starters. Shouldn't "Fade Into You" by Mazzy Star be on that list as well? Perhaps a couple of Suede songs too, since they're your secret favourite band!

Why nothing by Morrissey? Are you being a blasphemous heathen?

Call me what you like, the Smiths are welcome in the top 10, but nothing Morrissey did on his own rates. :-P

Actually, if I was to whittle this down to 10 songs then Now My Heart Is Full would definitely not be among them. So its inclusion on the list is somewhat suspect.

You've left out your favourite David Gedge song. To quote the late, great John Peel: "The boy Gedge has written some of the best love songs of the Rock 'n' Roll era. You may dispute this, but I'm right and you're wrong!"

*sigh* everything by Morrissey should always make the list....

I hadn't noticed there were no Weddoes songs but I'm not surpised since Ledge has gotten so senile he couldn't remember the name of his favourite Wedding Present song when they played it at the gig!

He's probably forgotten half of the 1000 songs that are in his top 10.

Oh, and another thing, you also left off "Forgot About Dre" which you once said was the greatest song ever written!
